Deployment Apparel Guidelines

In an effort to make sure that people know who the ARES Amateur Radio Operators are in an event or emergency, and because the operations will likely not involve high-speed traffic and low-light environments, we have come up with these guidelines for apparel.

Guidelines

  1. Color: Royal Blue or Fluorescent Blue Safety Vest
  2. Must be able to display ARES or ARRL ID while wearing vest or shirt
  3. Recommended to have ARES Logo or Call Sign on front.

Lightweight vest can be purchased from Amazon: JKSafety 10 Pockets Hi-Vis Safety Vest for Men Women with Zipper High Visibility ANSI/ISEA Class 2, Bluet1s1 https://www.amazon.com/JKSafety-Pockets-Frontal-Utility-Standards/dp/B0BGDQXNVP/
